Cycling in Pembrokeshire

Why not sweeten the deal and add a Cycling Experience to your stay?

There’s no better way to see Pembrokeshire’s stunning coast and countryside than on two wheels! You are truly spoilt for choice with Pembrokeshire’s cycling adventures.

Cycling Adventures

For keen cyclists, Pembrokeshire is host to many sporting events including Ironman Wales, The Long Course Triathlon and Tour of Pembrokeshire, amongst many others.

These events bring thousands of enthusiasts all year round to train in some of the most beautiful and challenging routes in Wales. There are plenty of established routes to choose from such as the National Cycle Network and the Celtic Trail available through the Sustrans. Whether you fancy the coastal routes or Preseli mountains, Pembrokeshire is filled with challenging climbs, descents and breathtaking scenery.

Family Friendly Adventures

Pembrokeshire’s country roads are usually peaceful, but if you fancy a traffic free and family friendly option try The Tramway.

This disused railway track is ideal for younger riders and hugs the spectacular coastline, ending in Saundersfoot where you can treat yourself to a sunny ice-cream on the beach – you’ve earned it!

Alternatively, get a bit muddy and take some mountain bikes down to Llys Y Fran Country Park. This stunning location is guaranteed to put smiles on faces during the 6.5 mile route, snaking around the reservoir. Don’t worry if it’s been a mucky ride, you can wash your gear at the Visitors Centre!
