Frequently Asked Questions
A hotel puts you in the middle of distractions - other guests, check-in queues, a restaurant full of strangers. Newgale Lodge offers exclusive use of the entire site, meaning your team is the only group there. Combined with DCo's bespoke programme design, the whole environment is engineered around your objectives from the moment you arrive.
That is up to you! Both options exist. You can hire the Lodge for your own internally-run events and programmes. Or, you can commission DCo - our parent company and L&D specialists with 20+ years experience - to design and deliver a fully bespoke residential or one-day development programme around your specific organisational needs.
Our clients span an exceptionally wide range of sectors — engineering firms, law practices, consultancies, local councils, healthcare, technology, central government, care providers, charities, production and manufacturing businesses, and many more. If your organisation has people in it, the chances are we've worked with something similar. The common factor isn't industry — it's a shared commitment to development that produces real, lasting results rather than a well-received day out. We work equally well with a leadership team of eight and a graduate cohort of forty.
Yes - everything DCo delivers is bespoke. There is no off-the-shelf package to offer; a conversation with the DCo team will explore your challenges and pain points, desired outcomes, and team dynamics before anything is designed. Then, we will go from there.
Beyond the specific goals you bring, our clients typically leave with stronger team cohesion, clearer accountability, improved communication skills and habits, and a shared language around performance and culture. The immersive environment accelerates outcomes that take months in a conventional training setting.
Absolutely. If you have an internal L&D function that wants to run its own content, we can provide the venue, logistical support, catering and - if useful - a DCo facilitator to supplement specific sessions, conversations and activities.
Fully catered (half-board or full-board) and self-catered options are both available. Catered guests dine in the Cow Shed restaurant on-site. All catering can be arranged around your programme schedule. We have an excellent chef team who can accommodate your preferences and dietary requirements.
The Lodge sits in 2 acres of secluded rural land within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, at the end of a no-through road. The buildings are all set back from the road, with parking provided on-site. When you have exclusive use, there are no other guests on-site - no interruptions, no noise from neighbouring events.
The Lodge is in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, approximately 2 miles from Wales' famous Newgale Beach. It's around a 3.5-4 hour drive from London and Birmingham, and accessible by train from Haverfordwest Station with onward transport arranged. The remoteness is intentional.
For venue-only bookings, we recommend at least 2-4 weeks. For a full DCo-designed programme, 8-12 weeks is more realistic to allow proper discovery, design, and preparation. High-demand periods (spring and summer) book up quickly.

We have plenty of corporate clients who work with us on an annual cohort programme basis, using DCo year-after-year. You are welcome to discuss preferred booking arrangements. Talk to us directly about your vision for the future and your calendar.
